The Burnished-seven colors is a passerine bird in the tanager family. Also known as Saíra-of-band.
features
It measures about 13.5 cm long and weighs 18 g. The female is paler and immature lack the brightly colored rump.
food
Fruit-eating, enjoying the fruits of palm trees, guava, papaya, plum and cashew. It feeds on insects too. Do you usually feeders with fruit.
reproduction
It reaches sexual maturity at 12 months. Makes a nest bowl type, which usually puts 2-4 eggs, and 2-3 litters per season. The chicks hatch after 15-17 days.
habits
It is found in all strata of the Atlantic forest and the low coastal forests, where it is very common.
