Cardinal is a passerine bird in the tanager family.
It measures 16 cm long. Bird of extraordinary physical beauty and sound. For these characteristics is a very hunted bird. No sexual dimorphism. Immature brownish, with rufous tuft.
It feeds on grains.
The Cardinals are territorial during the breeding season. Each litter is generally between 2 and 3 eggs having 2 to 4 litters per season. The chicks hatch after 13 days.
Live in gallery forest, flying at medium height next to rivers or in groups; in the canopy.
