Piccolo-brown is a passerine bird in the family Tityridae.
It is approximately 17 cm long.
It feeds on insects caught in short flights, large caterpillars and fruit with large pit. Lands on vertical branches to about 1 or 2 m high, observing the surroundings in search of prey.
The female nests solitarily, without the help of the male. The nest is prepared in a hollowed out trunk party, being padded with dry leaves. Add 2 eggs marked yellowish brown and lilac.
Varies uncommon common in the lower stratum of rainforests and high barns. It is hardly seen, although their vocalization can be heard frequently. He lives alone, accompanying mixed flocks only rarely.
